Facebook Marketing

Why customers like your company, but not your Facebook Page

Getting Likes on Facebook can be an uphill battle for many companies. According to Forresters North American Technographics Online Benchmark Recontact Omnibus Survey, customers who like a company spend up to twice as much as a non-Facebook fan. That makes getting likes especially important for small businesses that don’t have large marketing budgets.

That said, short of giving away $500 I-pads, how can businesses get more likes online?

1. Ask them to. Then ask them again.- At any point of contact with a customer, ask them to like you on Facebook. When they complete their order, offer a small bonus or amount off if they like you on their smart phone. Whether it’s a face to face order or an email, make sure and include a message to like your page on Facebook.

2. Integrate your message.- Include your facebook information on all your printed, online, or radio advertising. The company is already paying for the time, and adding in your facebook page or website will at least let people know you have a page. All of your products, letterhead, reciepts, anything associated with your company has mention your page.

3. Donate- If your company has a cause or non-profit you support, offer to make a donation to that organization based on the number of likes you get. The warm fuzzy feeling people get from supporting good causes is a very cost effective way to get likes
